"FAST & READY" 1.0 - POWER & SPEED PROGRAM

“Speed” means different things to various Military, Police & First Responders

  1. Intermittent & intermediate short bursts – max acceleration.

  2. Continuous repeated very short burst acceleration – rarely maximal

  3. Intermittent & intermediate short bursts - max acceleration & max velocity

  4. Continuous (RSA) occasional max acceleration & max velocity.

With these critical points listed, the aim of this 8 week program, is to efficiently enhance the tactical professionals overall acceleration & power output having them “Fast & Ready” for any operational task.

The program consists of 2 x 4 week cycles (8 weeks total). All sessions have been utilised with operational tactical professionals.

Each week has 3 x hill, sleds or flat speed sessions supported by 2 x full body power gym based sessions.

You will need access to a gym that has barbells, trap bar, bumpers, dumbbells, medicine balls and sled to push or tow etc. For the flat acceleration/speed work use a non slip surface up to 30m.
